Extend Your iPhone Warranty to 2 Years in Malaysia
Before Apple opened its first store in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX, buying an iPhone through official channels only provided a one-year warranty. There was no option to extend your new iPhone warranty beyond one year through Apple.
Keep in mind that warranties from third-party retailers and resellers are unofficial and repairs will be handled by unauthorised third-party technicians.
How to Extend iPhone Warranty?
After you turn on and activate your new iPhone, open the phone settings. You will see the “Add AppleCare+ Coverage” option at the top.
Take note, once you turn on and activate your new phone, you only have 60 days to purchase the AppleCare+ (one-year extended warranty). So if you are buying an iPhone as a gift for someone, remind them of this term and condition by Apple. Apple is pretty strict about its policies, so don’t expect any exceptions.
For the iPhone AppleCare+ in Malaysia, you will find only one plan available at the moment.
Besides using the card linked to your Apple Pay for purchasing AppleCare+, you can choose other payment options. Apple provides various methods, including other credit or debit cards and e-wallets.
