Currently, Apple offers two processor options for the M4 Mac Mini: the standard M4 processor and the higher-performance M4 Pro processor. Both come with different storage capacities, but we can help you expand those limits!

Process & Timing: The storage upgrade process typically takes two days, provided stock is available. Due to high demand, some chipsets may sell out, and restocking could take 1 to 2 weeks. We recommend contacting us to check stock availability.
Data Backup: Before upgrading, we strongly advise you to back up your data using iCloud, Time Machine to an external hard disk, or other methods. The upgrade involves replacing the storage chipset, not adding to it, so all data will be wiped during the process.
Warranty & Support: We offer a 12-month warranty on the upgraded storage chipset for your peace of mind. However, please note that the upgrade is considered an external modification, which voids the Apple warranty. But don’t worry! If you ever need to claim warranty with Apple down the road, we will assist you in dealing with Apple.

In 2020, Apple introduced “Unified Memory” with their M1 chips. This technology combines the RAM directly with the processor, GPU, and Neural Engine on a single chip. It ensures faster performance and smoother operations since all components share the same memory pool. However, this design makes the RAM part of the processor itself, and it’s all soldered together.
Upgrading the RAM on these devices requires replacing the entire chip, including the CPU and GPU. The cost of such a replacement is almost the same as buying a new Mac.
